POLICY STATEMENT
The Group Directors believe that the health, safety and welfare of its employees, sub-contractors and stakeholders is paramount to our business.
Gaskell Group Ltd recognises and accepts that this policy forms the basis on which it has the responsibility under HASWA to ensure, so far as is reasonably practicable, the health, safety and welfare of its employees, whether on company premises or if carrying out company business on customer premises, notwithstanding travelling to and from places of work.
The organisation is also committed to ensuring the health, safety and welfare of its customers, visitors and contractors.
Gaskell Group Ltd undertakes to conduct, provide, maintain and review:
- Information, instruction and training in order that work activities can be carried out safely.
- Risk assessments and effective risk management.
- Plant, machinery and equipment.
- Safe processes and systems.
- Safe access and egress.
- Adequate and correct supervision.
- Emergency arrangements.
- Competent persons.
The successful implementation of this policy requires total commitment from all levels of employee. Each person has a legal obligation to take reasonable care of their own safety as well as other persons who may be affected by the acts or omissions.
Monitoring and auditing of the policy is critical to ensure that the company is successfully assessing risks, meeting set objectives and if necessary the policy will be revised in light of legislative or organisational changes.
This Policy Statement will be displayed on appropriate notice boards throughout the offices of Gaskell Group, on the intranet, and in the Company handbook of each employee.
